October 1995 - Present President and Chief Technology Officer, E-Papyrus, Inc., NJ.
Feb 1998 - Present: Consulting Project Manager for a knowledge sharing and management system, based on Opentext Livelink, to be used by international drug development teams at a major Swiss pharmaceutical company. Currently coordinating the global roll-out, support and training efforts for the project. Developed the business case for the project, performed cost-benefit analysis, gathered user requirements, derived technical requirements, evaluated products, recommended a technology solution, managed pilot implementations and gathered feedback from end users. Made promotional presentations to internal teams and authored all project-related documentation. Received letter of commendation from the development management team for the innovative possibilities created by this system.
Nov 1997 - Aug 1998: Consulting Validation Specialist for a Global Document Management System for NDA submissions at Hoechst Marion Roussel. Managed the quality assurance and validation aspects of the project. Coordinated software development activities of a systems integrator as per quality standards, guidelines and SOPs. Audited the systems integrator and ESPS (makers of CoreDossier).
Oct 1995 - Aug 1997: Consulting Architect for a Product and Services Marketing Web application for the Trusted Global Advisor (TGA) Initiative at Merrill Lynch. Successfully completed the project, re-designed business processes and proposed technology solutions. Proposed a new design methodology to develop this document management-based Web application to deliver marketing information to brokers, clients, and the public. Responsible for requirements analysis, information mapping, prototyping, designing the software architecture, development and deployment of a distributed authoring and publishing environment based on Documentum and Web technologies. Incorporated workflows and strategies for full-text and attribute-based retrieval. Two articles on this innovative authoring and publishing approach have been published in the Communications of the ACM (July 1998) and Proceedings of the Eighth International Hypertext Conference (Hypertext ‘97) in Southampton, England.
For Merrill Lynch, E-Papyrus re-designed business processes to enable product marketing areas to create and publish content over an Intranet (and the Internet) in light of the above project. This six-month, fixed-price project was successfully completed in December 1996 with four members.
